The Wedding of Chris & Kylie

In early December Katie and I loaded the car and headed off for a 4hr drive. We where providing the Video and Photography for a location wedding along the Murry River in country Victoria. This was to be our final wedding for 2008 and what a way to finish a busy year of weddings. Chris & Kylie, the groom and bride where married on a warm and slightly windy December afternoon afternoon. At times localised storms threatened rain but local advise was it would pass. Guess what? Local knowledge was invaluable!

A small but special number of guests enjoyed spending the weekend at the resort. The pre-wedding preparation was not without some small, if not unusual stress. The groom relaxed and provided us on camera with some beautiful insights into how he met his bride, for later use in their video.

The bride looked beautiful as she walked down towards the river where the rest of the wedding party waited. She was given away by both her Mother and Father. The ceremony occasionally was disrupted by the roar of ski boats passing, however the Celebrate repeated the vows they had written so all the wedding party could hear.

After the ceremony we were able to get some lovely outdoor photographs and video.

Since the ceremony and reception was all at the resort it meant all guests could participate in the formal photos, though being a late afternoon ceremony we still had to move fast before the available light started to fade.

The after wedding party was great fun, held in an outdoor marquee. The food and drink flowed well into the night as family gave their speeches and the guests danced. Katie and I got up early Sunday morning and headed to a local hotel in Echuca for one of those all day big breakfasts before the drive home. Congratulations to Chris and Kylie.
